Welcome to Apple Valley Beyond the Yellow Ribbon
Who are we?<br>How can we help?

Welcome to our website!

We are excited to have our new website up-and-running. Everything we had on our old website is here, but we'll also be adding more now that we have the ability to do so ourselves.

What you'll find:

  • News & Events will be posted on the home page, so no digging.
  • More detail on who we are and the services we provide.
  • A proper thanks to our sponsors, complete with logos and links to their websites. If you're interested in becoming a sponsor, please contact us.
  • Not only are upcoming monthly dinners and meetings listed on the home page, you can now see a full list of meetings scheduled in the About section as well as future dinners (along with meals planned) in the What We Do section.
  • ...and more!

If you have any questions, see anything we might have missed, or just want to tell us how much you love our new website, let us know. We'd LOVE to hear from you!

Veterans Administration

VASRD Update

VA announced an update to the VA Schedule for Rating Disabilities (VASRD) specifically pertaining to digestive conditions. The changes add or modify rating criteria for 55 medical conditions in the rating schedule that incorporate medical advancements for treating certain disabilities and modern medical knowledge to compensate Veterans more accurately.

Eating Disorders

Eating Disorders

Eating disorders affect many Veterans, but as a woman Veteran you may be at an increased risk. From unpredictable eating schedules and meals eaten quickly to trauma and the pressure to “make weight,” your previous military experience might affect your relationship with food today.

If you’re concerned about unhealthy eating patterns, the first step is to contact your VA primary care or mental health clinician. They can help you identify whether your eating is problematic and guide you to the best resources for you, including possible VA outpatient treatment as well as higher levels of care, if needed.

Special Thanks to our Donors

The success of the Apple Valley Beyond the Yellow Ribbon mission to serve the military community depends on the generosity of many. We thank the many local businesses, groups and individuals who have donated their time, space and financial support. At the risk of unintentionally omitting a donor, we especially thank the following.
