Monthly Dinners

Monthly Military Appreciation dinners are typically held on the third Thursday of the month at the American Legion in Apple Valley located at 14521 Granada.

We invite all current military and veterans and their families to join together for a delicious meal. Following the meeting we have variety, ranging from speakers, informational topics, or entertainment.

Doors open at 5:00 with dinner served starting at 5:30.

IMPORTANT: Dinners are ordered from the Legion based on the number of reservations we recieve. To ensure we have enough meals ordered, please make your reservation by calling 952-923-5014. Thanks!

2025 Thursday Dinners

January 16 - Tatortot hotdish, breadstick
February 20 - Chicken ala king, biscuits
March 20 - Meatloaf, mashed potatoes
April 17 - Ham au gratin potatoes
May 15 - Burgers, chips and pasta salad
June 19 - Parmesan chicken, garlic cream sauce, mashed potatoes
JULY - No Dinner
August 21 - Baked potato with chili, mac and cheese sour cream
September 18 - Spinach artichoke chicken, mashed potato
October 16 - Orange chicken with fried rice
November 20 - Turkey, mashed potato, stuffing, gravy
DECEMBER - No Dinner

Entertainment

We don’t just host our dinners to enjoy good food and comradery, we periodically have great entertainment as well!

At our November dinner we were honored to have the Velvet Tones Choir, a community choral group of senior adults who have been making music together for over 20 years. They sang many fan favorites including the theme song for each military branch. A member of the Velvet Tones is Tom Werner from our own Beyond the Yellow Ribbon chapter.
